Josh Ritter Evil Eye Pins

Along with the posters I made for Josh Ritter, based on the song Evil Eye, his merchandise manager, the always awesome Brian Stowell, had the idea to also make die-cast lapel pins. The result are these: a silver & blue pin, and an antiqued-bronze with black pin. I grew up collecting enamel-pins as a kid, so I was stoked that my artwork ended up in this form! They are now available in Josh’s online store, in silver or gold.

mewithoutYou “Bear’s Vision…” Shirt

This is a new shirt I made for mewithoutYou, based on the song Bear’s Vision of St. Agnes. Which tells the story of a bear who, after seeing a vision of the Saint of Chastity, jumps from a cliff to sacrifice himself as food for his starving friend; the fox. These shirts will be available soon on their online store, and on tour in the coming months. I’ve included the song below.

As I write this, I’m out for a pair of shows with Josh Ritter & the Royal City Band, selling posters I made to commemorate the concerts. These posters are doing so well that we decided to put together another design for the April 25th show in Minneapolis. These will be limited to 125 copies, 3-colors, screen-printed on French 100 lb. Pop Tone Berrylicious paper. The image was inspired by the video for New Lover.

“You Are the Conductor” Test-Press Jackets

The next installment of The Mylene Sheath‘s Test-Press contest is You Are the Conductor by Caspian. Originally released in 2005, the label held a contest to redesign the artwork, the winner has their artwork screen-printed and gets one of the test-pressings of the record. Congrats to Petter Sevaldsen for his winning submission! I printed the jackets with two colors on French’s Pop Tone Sweet Tooth paper.

I’ll be in Cincinnati & Columbus this weekend with the Josh Ritter crew, selling these special-edition posters I designed for the shows in my home-state. The photos are from an adventure I took exactly one year ago with Tim, John & Andrew. They even listed us as part of their Photography Team. February, 1878 Official Music Video

Today, mewithoutYou premiered their official music video for February, 1878. If you watch closely, you’ll see a good handful of projects I worked on, scattered throughout the video. I even make a small appearance around 1:25, as I spent a couple of days on the road with them last March, working directly to speed up the design process. The band is currently offering an HD download of the video, in exchange for donations. Stream the video below:

New If These Trees Could Talk Shirt
