Screenprinting Zine Covers

Here’s a sneak peak at the progress of the new zine I’m releasing through Sailboat Press. The outside and inside covers are screenprinted; the outside is a 4 color process screen print, and inside is magenta. Thanks to Jen & Jake for lending their helping hands, and huge thanks to John at 10x for letting me use his press/basement. These are currently being assembled, more info on the TAPL page.

ITTCT Test Press

Long time friends, The Mylene Sheath, have decided to extend their highly sought-after list of collectors items, by releasing their back-catalog of Test Pressings. They are doing so through contests on their Message Board, by way of artwork contests. Each “boardie” can submit artwork to the contest, to be voted on by the other boardies. The winner gets their artwork screen-printed by yours truly, and a copy of the test press. There are only an incredibly small number of test pressings per release.

The first in the series is SHEATH001 – If These Trees Could Talk’s Self-Titled debut. The winner of the contest is Sheath die-hard, Brian Stowell.  Here are photos of the sleeves. Nice work, Brian! Lastly, huge thanks to Andy at Soundtrack Printing for allowing me to use their equipment.

Old Stories Limited Vinyl Pressing (part two)

This past weekend I finished printing the sleeves for the very limited “Friends Press” of Giants‘ Old Stories. Click HERE to see the first versions of these records. The records are on a white with blue haze, exclusive to this pressing. The jackets are a 3-color print on French Jellybean Green. All copies are hand-numbered, and signed and stamped on the inside.

Old Stories Limited Vinyl Pressing (part one)

I spent pretty much my entire Saturday in the basement of Revival printing the sleeves for the very limited “Friends Press” of GiantsOld Stories. The record has been available on vinyl for a month or two, but the band, and Cavity, requested that I silk-screen an additional 100 copies, to be limited to friends and exclusively available at shows. The records are on a white with blue haze, exclusive to this pressing. These are the first 50, and I will be printing the other 50 shortly, which will be the other half of the album art, and in a different color scheme. All copies are hand-numbered, and signed and stamped on the inside.
