Cable Releases

Today I got in the mail, two cable release adaptors for my Holga and DianaF+ cameras. I am excited to use my Diana as a pinhole camera. I plan to use my tripod to hold the cameras steady, while shooting with the cable release attached, to shoot come steady long-exposure-time photos. Not to mention the great softness and wide angles that a pinhole photo can achieve.

The other day, when I posted lomo photos, I had not seen all of the proofs. Here’s a few more gems. Including one of Jason Goody, and Rasmus of Efterklang.

I just finally got several rolls of 120 film developed from my lomo cameras. I got 6 rolls of B&W film for free, so the majority of the film I got back is black and white. I have been shooting on E-6 Slide 120 film lately, but the place I have my 120 film processed can’t do slide film. So I am seeking a place that can run my (really saturated bright) color film. The one color roll that I got developed, I am really happy with the results. Here’s a couple of the photos. Expect to see these show up in some design work soon. Note: photoshop was NOT used to manipulate any of these.

Romance of Young Tigers at Kling Thing

Last night good friends from Dayton came up to Akron to play a house show on their current tour up to Canada. They debuted some new jams that will be on the upcoming full length, which will be out later this year (hopefully), with artwork assistance courtesy of us. Last night I experimented using my Diana’s Flash as an auxiliary flash with my Digital Rebel. Keeping the shutter open for about 1 second, and snapping the flash once while the shutter was open. With various color gels, to give a bit of color splash to each photo. Here’s a few that I snagged.

My birthday is coming up this Thursday, and my parents sent me a present a little early. They were kind enough to send me these, a DianaF+ and Holga Green. I’ve been trying to kill a roll of film in each of them as fast as possible, so I can get them developed and get used to using both of these. Can’t wait.
