Whiskey, Whisk Me Away

For a new holiday special from Josh Ritter, I’ve been given the task of illustrating a lyric from his song Other Side. The design is laser-etched into flasks! I’ve been itching to do some hand-lettering, and this was a good opportunity. Being from Kentucky, I love whiskey, so I leapt at the opportunity when Brian (merch-guy extraordinaire) asked me to help on this project.

Also available, for the non-alcohol drinkers (and the underage) are new coffee mugs, with the logo I designed for Josh & the Royal City band. You can buy all of these beverage-containing items, in Josh’s online store.

Josh Ritter Black Friday

For Black Friday, Josh Ritter‘s team has just announced a new DVD+2xCD release for the holidays. As a special treat, the first 500 people to pre-order will receive a special custom bag of Popcorn from Josh & the Royal City Band to enjoy while watching the DVD. The custom popcorn bags were designed by, you guessed it; me. What a funny little quick project to work on. We even made Zack look like Orville Redenbacher. As always, thanks to Brian for always making things run smoothly.

Cloudkicker Shirt

Here’s a new shirt I designed for Cloudkicker, to accompany the release of his new record, Let Yourself Be Huge. I have a thing for color-overlays & halftoned crusty-textures.

Let Yourself Be Huge

This is the cover for the new Cloudkicker 10″ Let Yourself Be Huge. Ben’s albums have previously been loud, fast & directed outward. These new songs are meant to self-reflective; the idea that you’re more than a heart beating in a bag of flesh.

The artwork is comprised of photo-montages that I created to give a huge, ominous feel. It will be printed as a 10″ vinyl & CD, both with Spot UV finishing.

Rachel Platten Shirt

Just finished up this girl’s shirt for Rachel Platten. After some back-and-forth on a pair of shirts, this one is what will go to print. My favorite part is the little text overlaps on the swash from the R.
