Say Ooh!!

My dear friend Colleen and I just worked up an exchange of artwork via the USPS. She sent me two fantastic matching hand-made Feather Hair Clips for my girlfriend and I. Mine was custom to work with the rat-tail I’ve been sporting for a few months. Be sure and check out her Etsy to score some for yourself.

Oh yeah, and today is my birthday. So that’s pretty neat too.

Leather-crafting

I haven’t had a new belt in years, and the Cop-Car-Clad (I know, amazing) one that I had was far overdue for a replacement. So instead of buying a new one, I followed the Hand-Made pledge and bought leather supplies and made my own. So here you have my new, Wilderness themed belt, complete with Bears (of course, right?) Deer, and more. I did all of the drilling, trimming and staining by hand. And topped it all off with my Recycled Book Cover, hand-made buckle from Columbus’ Maxine, Dear.

Denver Craft Day, Two Months too late.

In January, Katie and I took a train to Denver to visit some good friends (12). Thanks to the best craft store I have ever been in, Fancy Tiger, we scored some great supplies, and spent an entire day dedicated to Craft Day. Here’s what I made: two log pillows, and a pair of squat Needle-Felted Owls, in addition to a couple of other things.
