Today i finally got around to trimming down and folding thef GiantsThey, The Undeserving Record Sleeves.” They are all ready to ship out to the label and to the band. There they will hand-insert the records and everything into Plastic Sleeves. Check the Mylene Sheath in the near future to pick up this limited run.

No Computer for a few days

I didn’t have my computer for almost a week. Needless to say I was pretty incognito from this blog for that reason. I even lost quite a few files that I can’t replace. But now that I have it back, up and running again, upgraded to CS4, and tackling everything I had to postpone.

While my computer was out, I was pretty happy about staying away from the glowing box. I did some reading, picture taking, and check this out: crafting. I needle-felted a slue of rain drops, and sewed a cloud shape pillow. Now this is dangling pretty in our window. Ashley and I also had a photoshoot with it.

Bicycle Craft Day.

Yesterday Cory came up to visit, and we had a craft day. Brandi returned my saddle, which she re-upholstered with Wood-Grain print Vinyl. To compliment this piece of awesomeness, I sewed a tiny little pouch to go under the saddle. It is just big enough to hold my wallet and my phone, for when I don’t feel like taking my messenger bag with me.

Additionally, I altered the seams on the below 8 shirts, so they all fit better. Katie and I agreed to not buy clothes for an entire year. So instead of being tempted to buy new ones, we would be motivated to fix the ones we already have. Lastly, I stitched on a 10 year old Pedro the Lion patch onto a new laptop sleeve that I snagged from Chrome’s backdoor sale for my 17″; $40 marked down to $9 (what a steal!)

A little craft time, to prolong other work.

Tonight I wrapped up this little craft project that I started last night. Our kitten managed to walk across the screen of my GPS and scratched the face of it. So it was time to make a little pouch to keep it safe; I sewed this. That’s my entry into the Internet Art World for the day. I promise I am wrapping up lots of different design jobs, and soon will have some new radness to debut for you. The Three Bears Blog should be having an increase in posts soon as well. Keep your eyes open.

my first time thrifting in ages…

Today Cory and I went thrifting, which is actually sadly something I have not done in a long time. And we managed to score some great finds. I found a hand-towel with four huge dog heads printed on it. I’m sure I’d have a use for a hand-towel somewhere in my apartment, but we decided to use them for something else. We each sewed a dog head on our Bike Messenger Bags. Mine is on top, and Cory yielding his, on bottom.

Also, they had a strange amount of “Moustache Mugs.” These are mugs that have a small lip on the inside, to protect a mustache wearer (like me) from getting their drink in their ‘stache. This is the one I picked up.
