February, 1878 Official Music Video

Today, mewithoutYou premiered their official music video for February, 1878. If you watch closely, you’ll see a good handful of projects I worked on, scattered throughout the video. I even make a small appearance around 1:25, as I spent a couple of days on the road with them last March, working directly to speed up the design process. The band is currently offering an HD download of the video, in exchange for donations. Stream the video below:

Donora’s “Float Away” by Thom Glunt

This is the new music video for Donora‘s song Float Away, directed by my friend Thom Glunt. I’ve worked with Thom plenty of times over the years, and he asked me to come-up with a type-treatment for the video. He wanted something quirky that would be carved into a tree; fitting for the camping-aesthetic of the video. See my original mock-up, and the video below.

[Also: See my past post about Ramona Falls' "Spore", another video of Thom's that I worked on.]

“I am Your Bastard Wings” Test-Press Jackets

The next installment of The Mylene Sheath‘s Test-Press contest series has been long overdue. Next up is I am Your Bastard Wings by Eksi Ekso. Originally released in 2008, the label held a contest to redesign the artwork, the winner has their artwork screen-printed and gets one of the test-pressings of the record. My good buddy Brian Stowell won the contest with his artwork, and I printed it with two-colors on French Speckletone paper.

Dreamy Landscapes captured in Medium-Format by Jennifer Court

It’s been a little while since I’ve written anything for the Lomography Magazine, but I’ve got a new article up now. The newest article features photographs by my friend Jennifer Anne Court, who takes dreamy medium-format landscapes and double-exposures with a Hasselblad. Read the full article, here.

Josh Ritter – The Beast in its Tracks Pre-Order

Today Josh Ritter announced his new album The Beast in its Tracks, which is set to release on my birthday, March 5, 2013. I designed the new splash page, where you can hear the debut track and pre-order the album in several different formats. The page is built around elements from the album artwork; the drawing by Greg Brown, and design by Matthew Fleming. I’m looking forward to completing several other projects for Josh, to sell on his upcoming tours. Those will be revealed over the next few months.
