The Fox, the Crow, and the Cookie

Here’s a shirt I just sent off to mewithoutYou. We did another shirt for this song when we sent treatments to the band, and they were originally sceptical about printing two shirts based on the same song. But the other shirt is selling so well, and the shirts are so different, that they decided to print them both! I’m very pleased with this opportunity, especially considering “It’s All Crazy! It’s All False! It’s All A Dream! It’s Alright.” is one of my favorite records this year. Excited to do more work for this band in the very near future.

Alley Cat Season

It’s that time of year again. And I had almost forgot! I was pumped when I just go this e-mail from Music Saves. They’ll be doing alley-cat hangouts in their store’s back-alley once a month. Last summer I designed the crest for them to print on Pint Glasses, which you can purchase at their store. Looks like I’ll have to get to Cleveland on a Friday sometime soon.

What the customers are saying about "From Fathoms"

Lindsay, over at The Mylene Sheath, just forwarded me a ton of e-mails from their customers who have bought Gifts From Enola’s new record “From Fathoms.” The record was officially released this past Tuesday. I know I’ve posted a lot about this album, and have a lot of other things going on worth posting about, but here are some really encouraging things that people have been saying about the record:

“The GFE vinyls are AMAZING. I don’t think I own a finer piece of art. The album art alone is the most intense, glossiest art I own, not to mention the colored vinyl. The CD case for From Fathoms is so unique and I pretty much want every CD I buy to be in a case like this from now on.”

“Just wanted to say thanks for putting out such an awesome GFE album. Got it a few days ago and am still in awe when I pull it out of the sleeves.”

“Just wanna letting you know that I received the GFE record in perfect condition and it’s f*cking amazing! The artworks great and the record is a killer. Thank you for making this one possible!”

“Arrived in perfect condition!!! what shall i say? this is probably the most beautiful album i own. absolutely amazing job!!!!”

“The sleeve and the vinyl look amazing, especially the sleeve is a masterpiece! sound is also great – listing to it right now! Keep it up and thanks a million for the great service and music!”

Black Bear River

Adam, Cheryl and I just completed the CD layout for David Mcghee‘s “Black Bear River.” The artwork is a vintage splashy watercolor illustration of the rural backwoods that are often responsible for inspiring really good folk music. This is no stretch for this record. We wanted to illustrate the album title’s River, and give the feel of seclusion in the woods. Additionally, David was a treat to work with. It’s great when everyone is really patient with each other. Getting along well, makes this process always function very smoothly.

Hoot Hoot! – Owl City Apparel

We just completed 3 t-shirts and a hoodie for the band Owl City. Here are two of the shirts, which I did myself. Keith also did a shirt, and we collaborated on the hoodie. The band is about to release their new record “Ocean Eyes”, as well as embark on a tour with Relient K, which was our main connection to do work for this band. Additionally, Owl City works with Tom’s shoes, and got me a discount on a new pair of charitable footwear.
